History & Background
Understanding the roots of our struggle and the foundation of our network.
The Context of CRSV
During Nepal's armed conflict, sexual violence was perpetrated as a weapon of war. For years, the reality of these atrocities remained shrouded in silence. Survivors faced profound trauma, social stigma, and marginalization, often lacking access to justice, medical care, or psychosocial support.
Formation of the Network
In the face of systemic neglect, survivors recognized that their collective voice was their strongest asset. Aparajit Foundation was established by and for survivors. We united to break the silence, demand accountability, and create a safe haven for mutual support and empowerment.
